A security
delegation from New Zealand, consisting of Heath Mills, the CEO of New Zealand
Players Association, and security consultant Reg Dickason, visited Gaddafi
Stadium in Lahore Wednesday. The visit was part of their inspection of security
arrangements for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan in April. The
delegation was accompanied by Usman Wahla, Director International PCB, and Col.
Khalid, Director Security Department PCB.
PCB officials
provided a comprehensive briefing to the New Zealand delegation regarding the
security protocols in place for the T20I series. The delegation had previously
visited Rawalpindi to assess the security arrangements for the New Zealand
side. Their visit to Lahore included a tour of Gaddafi Stadium and a briefing
by the Safe City Authority to ensure a thorough understanding of the security
measures.
The two-member
security delegation arrived in Lahore on Tuesday after earlier visits to
Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They are scheduled to conclude their visit on
Thursday before returning to New Zealand. The delegation, in line with the
arrangements made by the PCB, expressed satisfaction with the security measures
implemented for the upcoming series.
