The Lahore Race Club witnessed an exhilarating display of talent and determination as Jim and Tonic, the winner of the Pakistan Derby 2024, in spectacular showdown with Pakistani Star reaffirmed its dominance by clinching victory in the Queen Elizabeth-II Challenge Cup on Sunday.

The day's racing spectacle also featured standout performances in the Syed Wajid Ali Shah Memorial Cup and the Pakistan Day Cup, with Black Platinum and Trigger emerging as anticipated victors, respectively. However, the day was not without its surprises, as upsets were delivered by Vartika, Sehar and Big Dream in their respective duels.

The day's events kicked off with an unexpected upset in the opening race, as Vartika outpaced the competition to claim victory, leaving Jalthal and Desert Parri trailing in second and third place, respectively.

In the second race, Handsome lived up to its billing as the favorite, securing victory with ease. However, Mumraiz Love's surprise second-place finish and Dur-e-Adan's third-place performance added an element of unpredictability to the proceedings.

Sehar delivered the second upset of the day in the third race, leaving Lady Champion and Winx to settle for joint second place, while favorite Deedawer finished in fourth position.

Black Platinum emerged victorious in the highly anticipated Syed Wajid Ali Shah Memorial Cup, living up to its status as the favorite. However, Leisure Trip surprised onlookers by galloping to a second-place finish, while Galactica settled for third position.

In the highlight of the day, Jim and Tonic, under the skilled guidance of jockey Amir Pervaiz, showcased its exceptional abilities by outclassing Pakistani Star to claim victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup. Despite protests of being impeded, Jim and Tonic displayed its superiority, relegating Raksh to third position.

Trigger, the favorite, lived up to expectations in the Pakistan Day Cup, securing victory in impressive fashion. Meanwhile, Western Lady secured a predictable second-place finish, while Shaman surprised everyone by claiming third position.

The final race saw Big Dream emerge victorious, while Flight Line, the favorite, had to settle for second place. Mark My Words surprised by clinching third place.
