LRC gears up for two thrilling cup events in a card of eight

The Lahore
Race Club is set to host a day of exhilarating racing on Sunday, the final day
of their 31st Winter Meeting 2023-24. The event features two prestigious cup
races – the Spring Cup and the Rafique A Malik Memorial Cup – alongside six
exciting Tuba Plate races.
The day kicks off with
four Tuba Plate races, each featuring a diverse group of contenders.
In a First Race of
Class VII & Division VI&VII, Abdullah Champion is the favorite, with
Khizar Choice as a potential second-place finisher. Moonlight could pull off an
upset. Other participants include Flash Fire, Olympians Beauty, Mustang,
Capital City, Pocket Power, Chhota Dawn, Sultana, and Tady Don.
The Second Race is of
Class VII & Division VII&VII with Desert Parri leads the pack as the
favorite, while Merchant Of Venus is a contender for second place. Sultan
Jahaniya could surprise everyone. The remaining competitors are M K.Star, Macs,
Malik Prince, and Fakhar-e-Sahi.
The Third Race, a
Class VII & Division-V&VI has Black Tiger is favored to win, with
Mumraiz Love expected to secure second place. Agha Prince holds a chance for an
upset. The field also includes Dur-e-Adan, Puerto Rico, Fire Cracker, Jalpana
Fire, and Luckvir.
In the Fourth Race
(Class VI & Division-II&III), Time Line is the crowd favorite, with
Samore City a potential runner-up. Sehar might create a surprise. Other
participants are Mufa, Generosity, Lady Champion, Dancing Bird, Mumraiz Prince,
Stardom, and Deedavar.
The middle of the
event features the two highly anticipated cup races: Spring Cup (Term Race for
3 Year Old Colts & Fillies). This race showcases young horses with immense
potential. Sardar is the favorite to win, with Veste One expected to grab the
second-place position. Dil Awaiz could pull off a surprise. The remaining
contenders include Prodigal Rain, Maxi Macs, and Acknowledge.
Rafique A Malik
Memorial Cup (Class VII & Division-I) is the sixth race. Western Lady is
tipped to lead the pack, with Bella Vesta a potential challenger. Phantom could
emerge as a surprise winner. The other participants are Desert Crown, Hizar, La
Veste, and Watto Choice.
The closing races
offer more opportunities for exciting finishes. Seventh Race (Class VII &
Division-II) has Lake City One as favored for victory, with Dominus a potential
runner-up. Money Heist might surprise everyone. Welcome Sardar, Tatla Rule,
Song Bird, and Dhafir round out the field.
Eighth Race (Class
VII & Division-III&IV): Magical City is expected to win, with Koko
Rocket a potential second-place finisher. Kuwait Edition could cause an upset.
Challa Queen, Shining Moon, Niazi Princess, Malik Badshah, Tatla Princess,
Hussan, and another Magical City complete the lineup.
