Asher Butt
Racing fans,
get ready for an incredible Sunday evening at the Lahore Race Club! The third
day of the Summer Meeting 2025 promises non-stop action with six carefully
crafted races that will keep you on the edge of your seat from 6:30 PM onwards.
What makes
this card special?
This
Sunday's program offers the perfect blend of sprint excitement and stamina
tests. The first four races are lightning-fast 900-metre sprints where every
stride counts, while the final two races stretch out to a full mile, testing
both horse and jockey over the classic distance. You'll witness fields ranging
from eight to ten horses per race, ensuring competitive action throughout the
evening.
Race 1 (6:30
PM): The sprint opener
The
Favorite: I Shall Lead looks absolutely ready to strike in this Class-VII
Division-VII contest. This horse has been showing consistent form and should
handle the 900-metre trip perfectly.
The
Challenger: Al Karam brings solid credentials and could easily finish in the
money, making this a two-horse battle for the top spot.
The Dark
Horse: Don't sleep on Star Crown – this runner could surprise everyone if the
pace sets up right.
The supporting
cast: Keep an eye on Sargana Choice, who's been training well, while Mumraiz
The Great, Thunder Lady, Silent Melody, Gul-e-Kashmir, Flokey, and Deep Impact
all bring their own stories to this competitive field.
Race 2:
Building momentum
The
Standout: Usman's Love has been the talk of the stables and looks ready to
deliver in this Class-VII Division-VI&VII showdown.
The Place
Horse: Noon Princess has been consistent lately and should be right there at
the finish line.
The Upset
Special: Bodrum could be the value play of the race – sometimes the unexpected
happens in horse racing!
The Rest:
Classic Mystery and Sea of Class bring experience, while Augustus, Sher Dil,
Jalthal, Abdullah Love, and Gifts of Gold ensure this ten-horse field will be
anything but predictable.
Race 3: Mid-card
excitement
The Pick:
Sky Warrior soars into this Class-VII Division-V&VI race as the one to
beat, showing the kind of form that wins races.
The
Follower: Thunder Man (Krc) has been knocking on the door and could easily grab
second place or better.
The
Longshot: Naveed-e-Sahar might just be sitting on a big performance – these are
the horses that make racing exciting!
The
Contenders: Dill Lagi, Rashid Prince, Mafnood JR, Mr Asia, and Smart Fighter
all possess the talent to shake up the expected order of finish.
Race 4: Pre-feature
thriller
The Class:
Little Master brings the highest level of ability to this Class-VII
Division-IV, V&VI contest and should be tough to beat.
The Pursuer:
Zaman Sahib has been running well and looks like the logical choice to chase
the favorite home.
The Fluke:
Rayaan Prince could be the surprise package – sometimes horses peak at exactly
the right moment.
The Field:
Casper, Agha Prince, Daddy Cool, Azaad, and Chika Rika complete an eight-horse
field where anything can happen over 900 metres.
Race 5: The mile
test begins
Now we step
up to the mile distance for the Class-VII Division-I&II feature, where
stamina becomes crucial. This race lacks a clear standout favorite, making it
potentially the most competitive event of the evening.
The
Contenders: Phantom brings proven mile form and could be the value play of the
card. Rakaposhi has been consistent over longer distances, while Golden Heart
possesses the class to win this type of race. Qalandar and Set In Stone both
have mile experience, and Flash has shown improvement recently. Don't overlook
Specialist, who could be peaking at the right time, or Daaku, who might
surprise at generous odds.
Race 6: The grand
finale
The Closer:
Mera Gondal heads into this Class-VII Division-III mile contest as the deserved
favorite, showing the kind of form that wins feature races.
The Chaser:
Thunder Boy (Krc) has been running consistently and should be right there when
it matters most.
The Spoiler:
Desert Parri could throw a wrench into everyone's plans – mile races often
produce surprises.
The
Hopefuls: Debate Princess, National Colour, Great One, Nawab Prince (Krc), and
Falco all bring legitimate chances to upset the apple cart in what promises to
be a thrilling conclusion to the evening.
