Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the Punjab government for their outstanding support and cooperation in ensuring top-tier security during the recently concluded Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series in Lahore.

In a statement following the series, Naqvi lauded the exceptional efforts of the Lahore Police, Pakistan Army, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies for delivering a secure and well-organized sporting event. “The collective commitment and professionalism of all security departments guaranteed a safe and festive environment for cricket lovers,” he said.

He emphasized that the seamless security arrangements played a crucial role in allowing thousands of fans to enjoy international cricket at Gaddafi Stadium without concern. “Their efforts ensured foolproof security, allowing thousands of fans to witness cricket in a secure environment,” Naqvi stated.

The three-match T20I series not only brought joy to cricket enthusiasts but also demonstrated Pakistan’s capability to host international events with high-level security and hospitality. The PCB chief extended special thanks to the officers and personnel who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event a success.

On the field, Pakistan delivered an emphatic performance, sweeping the series 3-0. The final T20I saw an explosive innings by Mohammad Haris, who struck a blistering 107 off just 46 balls, guiding the hosts to a commanding seven-wicket victory.

The successful hosting of the series is being seen as another positive step for Pakistan cricket on the international stage, with officials hopeful it will encourage more teams to tour the country.
