with Bhawal Plate showdowns

The Lahore
Race Club is buzzing with excitement for Sunday as it hosts the 4th Day of the
Summer Meeting 2025, featuring six competitive Bhawal Plate races that promise
an evening full of thrill, surprises, and equestrian drama.
With four
sprints set over 900 metres and the final two races stretched to 1100 metres,
the evening is perfectly structured to deliver both speed and stamina
challenges. From young hopefuls to experienced campaigners, each race brings
its own unique story to the track.
Race 1 –
Class-VII, Division-VI & VII (900m) – 6:30 PM
The opener
has Usman’s Love listed as the favourite, a horse that's captured many eyes
with consistent runs. Jalthal is being backed for a place finish, and Sargana
Choice stands out as a potential spoiler.
Other
contenders:
Zindagi,
Macs, Mumraiz The Great, Abdullah Love, Thunder Lady, American Star, and
Thunder Prince (Krc).
With a field
this wide, a thrilling start to the day’s action is guaranteed.
Race 2 –
Class-VII, Division-IV & V (900m) – 7:05 PM
In the
second race, Dubai’s Angel comes in with strong form and is expected to
dominate. Pocket Power may follow closely, while Zaman Sahib, a fluke entry, is
being whispered about in racing circles as a dark horse.
Others to
watch:
Great One,
Nawab Prince (Krc), Agha Prince, Daddy Cool, Azaad, Chika Rika, and Rashid
Prince.
This line-up
promises a lot of action and a potentially photo-finish result.
Race 3 –
Class-VII, Division-VI (900m) – 7:40 PM
Thunder Man
(Krc) is the standout name here, drawing most predictions for the win. Noon
Princess is expected to take the place, while Absolutely Not may pull off a
surprise upset.
The race
also features:
Lucky Macs,
Mafnood JR, Malik Choice, Sea of Class, Sattar-e-Seher, Thunder Cloud (Krc), I
Shall Lead, and Smart Fighter.
With 11
contenders, this race might just be the most fiercely contested of the evening.
Race 4 –
Class-VII, Division-III (900m) – 8:15 PM
This one is
all about Little Master, pegged as the likely winner due to its strong early
pace. Mera Gondal is favoured to place, while Luckvir could be today’s big
surprise package.
Also
competing:
National
Colour, Debate Princess, Desert Parri, and Thunder Boy (Krc).
A field of
seven, but not short on intensity!
Race 5 –
Class-VI (1100m) – 8:50 PM
Moving into
the longer races, Luna Afzaal headlines this 1100-metre showdown. With a good
mix of speed and endurance, she’s the one to beat. Wynx is likely to place, and
Feel My Love is being backed by punters looking for a surprise.
Rounding off
the lineup:
Redrock,
Quality Street, and Nisha — all dangerous on their day.
This race is
also one of the feature events of the day, and rightly so.
Race 6 –
Class-VII, Division-I & II (1100m) – 9:25 PM
The final
race of the day could very well be the most exciting. Specialist enters as the
favourite, but Son of Sultan is being seen as a strong place contender. If
there’s any fluke to expect, it might come from Elizabeth.
Don’t
overlook:
Phantom,
Yesteryear, and Sehar — all of whom could end the day on a high note with a
strong finish.
