The Lahore Qalandars are once again stepping up to support Pakistan’s next generation of cricket stars. In a major announcement, the franchise has confirmed that they will conduct nationwide cricket trials across 25 cities as part of their Player Development Programme (PDP), creating exciting opportunities for both boys and girls to showcase their skills.

A platform for future champions

Speaking in an exclusive interview, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana shared the franchise’s ambitious plans to form 25 teams from different regions of Pakistan. These teams will be selected through open trials, providing young cricketers from all corners of the country a chance to shine.

“We are fully committed to investing in young talent and giving them a structured pathway to success,” Rana said.
“In partnership with the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, we aim to provide all the necessary resources to nurture these future stars.”

How to register?

Atif Rana explained that registration for the trials will be made simple and accessible. Young cricketers can register through:

• The Prime Minister's Youth Programme

• Lahore Qalandars' official social media platforms

• On-the-spot registration at trial venues

Beyond cricket: 'Friends of Qalandars'

Looking to the future, Atif Rana revealed the franchise’s next big initiative: Friends of Qalandars.
While the past decade focused on cricket development, the upcoming decade will spotlight multi-talented youth from across Pakistan.

The Qalandars plan to launch a dedicated mobile application where youngsters can showcase not just sports skills but also talents like:

• Singing 

• Acting 

• Painting

• Content creation 

“The most promising talents from this platform will be awarded scholarships to study at top international universities,” Rana added, highlighting the Qalandars’ broader vision to empower youth in diverse fields.
