Three cups,
seven races – thrills await at LRC on Sunday evening

The Lahore
Race Club is all set for an electrifying Sunday as the 10th Day Summer Meeting
– 2025 brings together seven competitive races, headlined by three prestigious
cups — the Kashmir Cup, the Jashn-e-Azadi Cup, and the Independence Day Cup.
Alongside these showpiece events, four exciting Sawat Plates will set the pace
for a day packed with racing action.
The
afternoon will open with the Sawat Plate, Class-VII and Division-VI&VII, at
5:00 PM. All eyes will be on Leo Star, the clear favourite, while Thunder Cloud
(Krc) is tipped for the place position. Rashid Prince could spring a surprise
as the fluke runner. Other contenders in the field include Amigo,
Gul-e-Kashmir, Raftar, I Shall Lead, and Thunder Prince (Krc).
The second
race, the Kashmir Cup, will see Class-VII and Division-VI runners alongside
maiden horses from Division-VII. Awais Prince heads the betting charts as the
favourite, with Advocate expected to secure the place position, while Victory
Bul Bul stands out as the fluke chance. SG Princess, King Asia, Good Boy, Daisy
Macs, Thunder Lady, and Dubai Love complete a competitive line-up.
Race three
will be the Sawat Plate for Class-VII and Division-IV, where Black Fire has
been installed as the favourite. Taj Mahal is fancied for the place spot, while
Generosity could upset the odds as the fluke entry. The remaining challengers
include Haseeb Thunder, Daddy Cool, and Nawab Prince.
In the
fourth race, the Sawat Plate for Class-VII and Division-III, Sehar is the horse
to beat. Desert Parri looks good for the place, while Thunder Boy (Krc) could
surprise as the fluke. The race also features Tahira, Song Bird, National
Colour, and Absolutely Not.
The
Jashn-e-Azadi Cup, the fifth race of the day, will showcase Class-VII and
Division-I&II runners. Daaku enters as the favourite, with Elizabeth a
strong place contender and Brigadier tipped as the fluke. Other participants
include Son of Sultan, Golden Heart, Luckvir, Al Shouq, Yesteryear, Flash, and
Dubai’s Angel.
The sixth
race, the Independence Day Cup, features Class-VI and Division-II&III
runners. Caesar is the clear favourite, followed by Luna Afzaal for the place
position, while Wynx is the fluke selection. Brooklyn and Redrock will also be
in the mix for honours.
The curtain
will fall on the day with the final race — the Sawat Plate for Class-VII and
Division-V&VI. Zindagi leads the favourites, with Multani Babu considered
for the place and Zaman Sahib eyed as the fluke threat. Yes Commander, Mr Asia,
Macs, Haseeb Thrill, Jalal Prince, and Thunder Man (Krc) round out the field
for what promises to be a thrilling finale.
With a blend
of top favourites, solid place prospects, and unpredictable fluke runners, the
10th Day Summer Meeting is poised to deliver an afternoon of intense
competition and memorable finishes at the Lahore Race Club.
