The Lahore Race Club is gearing up for an adrenaline-charged day of horse racing this Sunday, with the 8th Day of the Summer Meeting 2025 featuring a thrilling five-race card — all under the Islamabad Plate banner for Class VII horses, divided across various competitive divisions.

The race day kicks off with the Islamabad Plate Class VII Division VII, a 900-metre dash packed with speedsters. Thunder Prince (KRC) has caught the eye as the frontrunner, but expect a strong fight from Maze, tipped for a place finish. Keep an eye out for Raftar, a potential fluke with a habit of springing surprises. Sultan Again, Good Boy, Gul-e-Kashmir, and Dubai Love also feature in this tight opener.

The second race, a Class VII Division VI & VII combination, promises intense competition. Thunder Man (KRC) enters as the hot favourite, while Bill Gates could be in the money with a solid place run. Mr Asia is gaining attention as a potential upset. The lineup also boasts Rashid Prince, Amigo, Thunder Cloud (KRC), Anni Power, and Drago, ensuring no shortage of drama.

Race three belongs to Class VII Division IV & V, with another 900-metre sprint on the cards. Thunder Boy (KRC) is fancied for top honours, with Monsoon Mischief expected to chase him down for a place finish. Daddy Cool may surprise punters with a fluke run. Also in the fray are Haseeb Thunder, Taj Mahal, Nawab Prince, and Pocket Power.

The fourth contest, a high-voltage race for Class VII Division III horses, will be one to watch. Desert Parri is the favourite on paper, but Dubaiwi's Angel is being tipped as a strong challenger. New York City brings unpredictability to the race. The rest of the field — Sehar, National Colour, Absolutely Not, and Black Fire — completes a balanced field capable of delivering fireworks.

The day wraps up with a longer test of endurance — the fifth and final race, a mile-long contest for Class VII Division I & II runners. Samore City leads the charts as favourite, with Mera Gondal a solid bet for a place. Yesteryear could prove a wildcard entry, while Golden Heart, Rakaposhi, and Black Master will look to spoil the party.

With a mix of favourites, flukes, and fiercely competitive lineups, this Sunday promises fast-paced action and thrilling finishes. The Lahore Race Club continues to provide a vibrant platform for racing fans and punters alike to experience the thrill of the turf.
