Rain Forces Postponement of Lahore Races
Lahore, Pakistan—The Lahore Race Club has announced that it has postponed the horse races scheduled for this Sunday, August 31, 2025. The decision was made due to heavy rainfall that has left the racing tracks in a slippery and unsafe condition.
According to an official notice from the club's secretary, Sh. Shahzad Akhter, the races will now take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with the same schedule.
The postponement comes as a disappointment to local racing enthusiasts but is a necessary safety measure to protect the jockeys and horses. The club is urging all patrons to take note of the new date and to plan their visit accordingly.
