Team selected for 16th JKA World Karate
The Pakistan team for the 16th JKA World Karate
Championship, scheduled to be held in Japan this October, has been selected
following the one-day JKA Punjab Championship held in Lahore.
The championship, organized by the Japan Karate Association
(JKA) Punjab, saw participation from 41 teams.
The JKA Punjab karate team, which will represent Pakistan in
the global event, includes the following players: Muzamil Ahmed, Mohammad
Usman, Aurangzeb, Kabir Butt, Ali Anwar, Aqeel Ahmed, and Tariq Mehmood.
An official claimed that the selection was made based on the
outstanding performances of these athletes during the championship. The event
served as a platform to identify and prepare top karate talent for
international competition, he added.
The JKA World Karate Championship is a prestigious event, drawing competitors from around the globe. The selected team will aim to bring honor to Pakistan through their participation and performance in this significant martial arts tournament, he added.
