LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club is all set to host its 36th day of the winter meeting, featuring five Kashmir Plates and the prestigious May Cup in a total of six races lined up for the day on Sunday.

The highlight of the day is the May Cup, attracting a competitive field of Class-VI and VII horses, divided into Divisions I. The spotlight is on Manat as the frontrunner for victory, closely followed by Bella Veste. However, a potential surprise contender in Phantom with an element of unpredictability. Notorious One, Spartacus, Sehar, Olympus, and Victoria are also expected to put up a strong fight.

In the first race, a Maiden run of 12 new entrants in Class-VII and Division-VII, Sky Warrior emerges as the favorite, with Shah Prince and Flash Fire posing as potential challengers alongside a field including Pocket Wood, Apache, Safi Choice, Olympians Beauty, Tady Don, Chhota Don, Star Crown, Self Belief, and Tatla Choice..

The second race, featuring Class-VII and Division-VI&VII, sees Absolutely Not leading the pack, with Sultan Jahaniya and Lalay De Jan aiming to cause an upset. Remaining field includes Abdullah Champion, Salaar, Amazing Star, Fakhar-e-Sahi, Macs, Khizer Choice, and Master Prince.

Luckvir is the one to watch in the third race, a Class-VII and Division-IV&V contest, with tough competition expected from Kuwait Edition and Moni Prince. Black Master, Niazi Princess, Yes Commander, Super Power, and Mumraiz Prince round off the field.

In the Class-VII and Division-II race, Mufasa stands out as the favorite contender, with Deedavar and Quality Street poised for a place finish. However, the line is completed by Maxi Macs, Farhan Prince, Desert Crown, and Hizar.

The final race of the day, featuring Class-VII and Division-III participants, sees Elizabeth as the favorite, while Treasure Trip and Casper are expected to challenge for the place. The field also has Arrogate, Wynx, Beautiful Baby, Apple of My Eye, Bio Care, and Shinning Moon.
