The ICC
(International Cricket Council) is ramping up preparations for the upcoming
Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled to be held in Pakistan. As part of these
efforts, Dave Musker, the ICC Head of Security, visited the National Cricket
Academy (NCA) in Lahore on Tuesday for a crucial meeting.
Musker met with
Salman Naseer, the Chief Operating Officer of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB),
along with other PCB officials. The agenda focused on security arrangements for
the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The eight-team
Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan in February/March 2025. This marks
the return of the tournament after a hiatus following the 2017 edition.
Musker's visit
underscores the ICC's commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for
both players and fans during the Champions Trophy.
The meeting likely
involved discussions on security infrastructure, risk assessments, and
collaboration between the ICC and PCB security teams.
This visit signifies
a positive step towards a successful Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
Further details
regarding specific security measures are likely to be announced in the coming
months.
“Cricket fans in
Pakistan can look forward to an exciting tournament with world-class cricket
and top-notch security arrangements,” confided a PCB official.
