The 37th day of the Lahore Winter Meeting 2024–2025 delivered excitement and surprises in equal measure, with the main highlight being Verde One’s stellar win in the Super Asset Cup, held on a cool Sunday evening at the Lahore Race Club.

As the crowd cheered under the lights, Verde One lived up to expectations and galloped to glory in the feature race of the day. Entering the event as the clear favorite, it finished with commanding pace and precision, leaving little doubt about its dominance. Feel My Love also met predictions by securing a solid second place, while Ceaser delighted underdog backers with a surprising third-place finish.

Race 1 – Brumal Plate (Class VII, Div VI & VII)

The day kicked off with an upset. Jhanbaz, a place favorite, clinched the top spot in a well-fought contest. Awais Prince impressed many by finishing second, while Queen Of Sodiwal caught the field off guard with a third-place finish that few had anticipated.

Race 2 – Brumal Plate (Class VII, Div VI & VII)

Heavy favorite Mafnood JR showcased its class with a late charge to secure victory. Mumraiz Love surprised the audience by claiming second, while Sky Warrior galloped with intent to close the race in third place.

Race 3 – Brumal Plate (Class VII, Div V & VI)

This race turned the betting boards upside down. Raffah, considered an outsider, powered through the competition to secure an unlikely victory. Little Master followed with a strong second, while crowd favorite Zaman Sahab fell short and had to settle for third.

Race 4 – Brumal Plate (Class VI, Div III & IV)

Perhaps the biggest surprises came in this round. Wynx led from the front to win with ease. Thunder Boy took second place with an aggressive final sprint, while Qalandar claimed third, rounding out a podium few saw coming.

Race 5 – Brumal Plate (Class VI, Div I & II)

After a string of surprises, some order was restored when Zuza—a place favorite—snatched victory. However, hot favorite Desert Crown had to settle for second. Sultan Prince secured third after a tight finish, slightly salvaging the day for punters.

Race 6 – Super Asset Cup (Class VI)

The day’s climax didn’t disappoint. Verde One lived up to its billing with a dominant win in the Super Asset Cup. Feel My Love showed great heart to finish second, while Ceaser capped off the race day by sneaking into third, rewarding those who backed the underdog.

The event brought together horse racing enthusiasts, owners, and jockeys from across the country. With a strong turnout and smooth operations, the Lahore Race Club once again reinforced its reputation as a premier hub for Pakistan’s equestrian sports.

As officials begin preparations for the next major race day later this month, fans are already counting down for more turf action and another round of unforgettable finishes at one of the nation’s most iconic race venues.
