JDW Cricket Team took firm control on the opening day of their President’s Trophy Grade-II clash against CDA, thanks to a magnificent 168-run innings from captain Ali Imran at the Diamond Cricket Ground. 

The skipper's dominant 196-ball knock, featuring 16 boundaries and three sixes, propelled JDW to a formidable 343/6 in their allotted 75 overs. 

Valuable contributions came from Jahanzaib Sultan and Haroon Arshad (25 each), along with Rana Adeel (27), Humayun Altaf (23), and Mohammad Zubair (20). 

In response, CDA struggled to 26/1 at stumps, with Asjad Nawaz (2 wickets) being the pick of their bowlers. 

The match now hangs in the balance as CDA faces an uphill task to avoid conceding a decisive first-innings lead in this crucial final-round fixture.
