LRC lineups two cup events in a card of seven on Sunday

The Lahore Race Club has unveiled the acceptances and order of running for the 32nd day of its Winter Meeting 2024-2025, scheduled for Sunday, April 6th. Seven races are on the card featuring the prestigious Nero's Dream Cup and Syed Wajid Ali Shah Memorial Cup, alongside five divisions of The Decent Plate.
The day's racing will commence at around 12:30 PM with The
Decent Plate Class-VII Division-VI&VII over 1000 meters. Victory Bul Bul
emerges as the favorite, with Sky Warrior expected to place and Mafnood JR
considered a potential fluke winner. The 13-horse field also includes Raftar,
Naveed-e-Sahar, Advocate, Jaithal, Thunder Prince (Kro), Jhanbaz, Well Regard,
Elon Musk, Dubai Love, and Kharian Prince.
The second race is of Class-VII Division-V&VI, also
over 1000 meters. Black Fire is tipped as the favorite, with Yes Commander
expected to place and Pocket Power potentially springing a surprise. Completing
the field are Tango To Fire, Thunder Cloud (KRC), Al Mabrook, Zaman Sahib,
Thunder Man (Kro), Rayaan Prince, and Mr Kaila.
The Class-VII Division-III&IV race will see Dubawi's
Angel as the favorite over the 1000-meter course, with Vartika expected to
place. Other contenders include Deedavar, Zura, Vitoria, Shareeka, and Rutba.
The fourth race features maidens in Class-VII
Division-III&IV over 1000 meters. Gabriela leads as the favorite, with Zaid
Prince expected to place and Qalandar potentially surprising the field. Gondal
One, Hero, Arcadian, and Jupiter complete the lineup.
The day's highlight comes at fifth in the list. The
Nero's Dream Cup (Class-V) over 1400 meters. Tiete enters as the favorite,
Melisende is expected to place, and Suicide Blonde could prove a fluke winner.
Other competitors include Tierney, Sofia The First, and Swift Retort.
The Syed Wajid Ali Shah Memorial Cup, combining Class-VII
Division-I and Class VI Division-I horses, will run over 1100 meters. Feel My
Love leads the field as favorite, with Redrock expected to place and Sultan
Prince potentially surprising. Desert Crown, Money Heist, Ceaser, and Golden
Heart round out the competitors.
The final race returns to The Decent Plate series with
Class-VII Division-II over 1100 meters. Public Star is favored to win, with
Yesteryear expected to place and Deep Seek considered a potential fluke. Black
Master, One Man Band, Great One, and Thunder Boy (KRC) complete the day's
racing lineup.
It's worth noting that The Eclips Stakes of Pakistan Cup
for Imported & Pakistani Horses, originally scheduled as the sixth race
over 2000 meters, has been declared void.
Racing enthusiasts are advised to arrive early, with the
first race beginning promptly at 12:30 PM. The Lahore Race Club continues to
maintain its reputation for organizing high-quality racing events, with this
Sunday's program offering a diverse range of competitions across various
classes and divisions.
