The Lahore Race Club (LRC) is all set to host its 33rd day of the 2024-25 Winter Meeting on Sunday (today), offering an action-packed card featuring six competitive plate races, including a standout High Again Plate and five Drure Plates across different classes and divisions. The day promises high drama, close finishes, and a test of racing pedigree as a diverse field of runners vie for supremacy on the track.

🏇 Race 1: Drure Plate - Class VII, Division VI & VII

(14 Runners)

The opening contest of the day features a full gate of 14, with Victory Bul Bul leading the betting charts as the firm favourite. Jhanbaz is being tipped for a place finish, while Thunder Prince (KRC), although not a regular favourite, carries the potential for an upset.

Other entries to watch include:

Thunder Man (KRC), Raftar, Bill Gates, Al Karam, Haseeb Thrill, Sky Warrior, I Shall Lead, Good Boy, Advocate, Khaqan Prince, and Naveed-e-Sahar — all of whom could spring a surprise in a tightly packed field.

🏇 Race 2: Drure Plate - Class VII, Division V & VI

(10 Runners)

Mumraiz Love is seen as the front-runner in this 10-horse contest. Zaman Sahib is being considered a strong contender for a place, while the unpredictable Yes Commander could turn heads if the race conditions go in its favour.

Other participants include:

Thunder Cloud (KRC), Latin Storm, Emerging Star, Rayaan Prince, Mafnood Jr, Drago, and Lucky Macs — forming a field that is both balanced and unpredictable.

🏇 Race 3: Drure Plate - Class VII, Division III & IV

(7 Runners)

A high-stakes battle awaits in what’s billed as one of the most competitive races of the day. Black Fire is the standout favourite, but will likely face stiff competition from Thunder Boy (KRC) and Shareeka.

The supporting cast of Rutba, Haseeb Thunder, Gondal One, and Deep Seek could also deliver strong performances, keeping bettors on edge.

🏇 Race 4: High Again Plate - Class VI

(6 Runners)

The feature race of the day, the High Again Plate, sees Swift Retort as the frontrunner with high winning odds. Redrock is a strong contender for place honors, while Feel My Love remains a dark horse capable of an upset.

Also running are:

Brooklyn, Thunder Star (KRC), and Luna Afzaal, rounding off a quality field that adds prestige to the day's card.

🏇 Race 5: Drure Plate - Class VII, Division II & III

(7 Runners)

This race has Shakira as the punters' favourite, expected to dominate the proceedings. Qalandar is being backed to place, while Samore City holds outside potential to deliver a surprise.

Other hopefuls include:

Prince Eissa, Saphira, Black Master, and Great One — each ready to make the most of any slip-ups from the top picks.

🏇 Race 6: Drure Plate - Class VII, Division I

(7 Runners)

In the final race of the day, Desert Crown has emerged as the top favourite. Phantom is in line for a probable place finish, while Golden Heart is being watched closely for a potential fluke win.

Challengers like Olympus, Ceaser, and Sultan Prince will be pushing hard to disrupt the frontrunners’ plans and end the day on a high note.

The 33rd winter meeting promises a day full of excitement and surprises for racing fans and punters alike. With favourites eyeing the podium and underdogs plotting potential upsets, Sunday’s six-race card at Lahore Race Club is not to be missed.
