program chairman and hockey Olympian discuss revival of sport

Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Friday
met with hockey Olympian Khawaja Junaid to discuss the revival of hockey in
Pakistan and the broader engagement of youth through sports initiatives.
During
the meeting, Chairman Rana Mashhood reiterated the government's commitment to
revitalizing hockey in Pakistan. He emphasized Pakistan's preparations for the
South Asian Games and the upcoming National Games, highlighting the
government's dedication to showcasing the country's capabilities on the
international stage.
Furthermore,
it was revealed that talented individuals identified through the Prime
Minister's Talent Hunt program would have the opportunity to participate in the
forthcoming National Games. These selected players will undergo rigorous
training to enhance their skills and represent Pakistan with excellence.
Chairman
Rana Mashhood emphasized the significant role of sports in positively engaging
the youth, promoting unity, discipline, and national pride. He reaffirmed the
government's steadfast support for initiatives aimed at harnessing Pakistan's
sporting potential and fostering a culture of athleticism and camaraderie.
Hockey
Olympian Khawaja Junaid expressed optimism about the future of hockey in
Pakistan and commended the proactive approach of the government towards sports

Both
