Yahya, Parkha triumph at 4th Ayesha Hamid Golf Tournament

Teen golfer Yahya Ahsan and national player
Parkha Ijaz emerged victorious at the 4th Ayesha Hamid Golf Tournament held at
Lahore Gymkhana Golf Course yesterday.
The tournament, organized to honor educational leader
Ayesha Hamid, saw impressive performances across both men's and women's
categories. Parkha Ijaz, who plays with a zero handicap, secured the women's
championship with an outstanding nine-hole par round of gross 35. Rimsha Ijaz
claimed second place, followed by Ana James Gill in third.
In the men's division, Yahya Ahsan clinched the title
with a gross score of 38, while Tahir Nawazish and Ahsan Ghias secured second
and third positions respectively.
The net section winners included Minaa Zainab in the
ladies' category with a score of 30, followed by Zeb un Nisa and Shahnaz Moeen.
In the men's net category, Mian Ansar Sadiq took first place, with Sardar Aqil
Omer and Kh. Adeel Aslam following in second and third.
The event holds special significance as it celebrates
Ayesha Hamid's contribution to golf through her educational institution, which
has produced notable players including Parkha Ijaz, Rimsha Ijaz, and Minaa
Zainab, who served as Tournament Director. The tournament was supported by
Rehman Hamid, with prizes presented by Shaukat Javed, Convenor Golf, alongside
Ayesha Hamid and Rehman Hamid, in Dr. Asma Shami's presence.
