Dutch hockey players share skills with Special Olympics Athletes

In an inspiring event held in Lahore, Special Olympics Pakistan athletes received expert training and support from players of the Netherlands' HGC hockey club. Hosted by the Netherlands Embassy, the event aimed to foster camaraderie and enhance the hockey skills of the special athletes.
Special Olympics Pakistan Chairperson, Ronak Lakhani, expressed her heartfelt hope that these special athletes will one day proudly represent Pakistan on the hockey field, waving the national flag high.
The event began with a warm and enthusiastic welcome for the Dutch hockey players. Children from the Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy greeted the visitors with hockey sticks, setting the tone for a day filled with learning and encouragement. The Netherlands Ambassador, Hanneke de Vries, also received a special welcome and took part in distributing shirts and hockey sticks to the special athletes.
Ronak Lakhani was also warmly received, emphasizing her significant contributions to Special Olympics Pakistan. The Dutch team players dedicated their time to providing valuable tips and guidance to the special athletes, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.
