Memorial Cup highlight of LRC's eight-race card

LAHORE - The
Lahore Race Club's winter meeting continues Sunday with the prestigious Munir
Ahmad Dar Memorial Cup headlining an eight-race card.
The 1800-metre
Memorial Cup features seven horses, with Sardar emerging as favorite after four
wins and five places in ten starts. Swift Retort and Dhafir are expected to
provide strong competition, alongside Feel My Love, Public Star, Dawn To Dusk,
and Jack.
The opening Fair
Magic Plate sees a 13-horse maiden field with Serenity favored ahead of Royal
Blood and Zenyatta. The field includes Sea of Class, Mr. Asia, Rutba, Twinkle,
Deep Impact, Haider Choice, Smart Fighter, Queen of Sodiwal, Flokey, and Al
Karam.
In the second
race, Generosity leads a six-horse field, with Falco and Desert Parri as
contenders, joined by Kuwait Edition, Sarparast, and Zaman Sahib.
Moni Prince
heads the third race, with Luckir and Elizabeth completing the likely top
three. Also running are Big Dream, Thunder Man (KRC), Wynx, Royal Prince, and
Thunder Cloud (KRC).
The fourth race
features Raftra as favorite among nine runners, with Gift of Gold and Drago in
contention. Completing the field are Stardom, Moon Light, Class, Royal Baby,
Mafnood JR, Tahmoor, and Abdullah Choice.
Manat leads the
fifth race ahead of Brooklyn and Desert Crown, alongside Thala, Macs King,
Royal Salute, Quality Street, and Thunder Princess (KRC).
The seventh race
presents an open field with Haseeb Thunder, Big Boy, Qismat, Jupiter, Classic
Music, Parri For Two, Gabriela, and Thunder, while the final race sees Farhan
Prince, Sarkar Raj, and Black Tiger as favorites, joined by Yasteryear, Thunder
Boy (KRC), and Shakira.
All races are
Fair Magic Plates except the Memorial Cup, with classifications ranging from
Class VI to VII across various divisions. The meeting marks the 20th day of the
2024-25 winter season.
