 LRC hosts action-packed day with prestigious 1000 Guineas of Pakistan 2025

The Lahore Race Club is buzzing with excitement for Sunday as it hosts a series of thrilling equine sport events that promise to keep enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. Highlighting the 21st day winter meeting, the prestigious 1000 Guineas of Pakistan 2025 stands out among the four cup events alongside five plate races, setting the tone for the upcoming Pakistan Derby in March.

The day kicks off with the Ginza Plate Class-VII, Division-VI&VII race, featuring 16 competitors. Favourite Rutba is expected to lead, with Drago placing, and Jhanbaz as a potential surprise. Other participants include Macs, Little Master, Maze, Baghi, Twinkle, Sakhi, Mr. Asia, Royal Baby, Haider Choice, Deep Impact, Gifts of Gold, Abdullah Champion, and I Shall Lead.

In the second race, Class-VII, Division-V&VI, ten participants will vie for victory. Awais Love is the favourite, with Al Mabrook expected to place and Vartika as a surprise contender. The field also includes Mumraiz Love, Raftar, Falco, Sarparast, Awan Di Shan, and Zaman Sahib.

The third race, Class-VII, Division-III&IV, features eight competitors. Favourite Luckvir is poised to win, with Welcome Sardar placing and Kuwait Edition as a potential surprise. Other participants include Thunder Man (KRC), Thunder Cloud (KRC), Arcadian, Shareeka, and Great One.

The Anarkali Cup, a term race for 3-year-old Pakistani fillies, is the fourth event. Moni is the favourite, with Distant Music placing and Nisha as a fluke. Other fillies in the race are Amanah Noor, Dilbar, Luna Afzaal, Princess Noor, Rakaposhi, and Secret Lover.

The fifth race is the 1000-Guineas of Pakistan, 2025, a term race for 4-year-old Pakistani fillies. Out of the 16 participants, Qaswa Princess is the favourite, with Acknowledge placing and Golden Market as a fluke. The field also includes Dila Awaiz, Dubawi's Angel, Flying Fire, Love Love, Money Heist, Manat, Marryshah Secret, National Colour, and Princess Rukhtas.

In the sixth race, Class-VII, Division-I&II, Dawn To Dusk is the favourite, with Shakira placing and Dominus as a fluke. Other participants are Thunder Princess (KRC), Yesteryear, Thunder Boy (KRC), and Moni Prince.

The Ladies Day Cup, featuring imported and Pakistani fillies, is the seventh event. While there is no clear favourite among the seven participants, the field includes Melisende, Marquises, Marianglas, Sofia The First, Suicide Blonde, Tiete, and Tierney.

The eighth race is the Ch. Ahmad Saeed Memorial Cup, a Class-VI event. Among the 12 participants, Swift Retort is the favourite, with J-K placing and Brooklyn as a rough challenger. Other competitors include Royal Salute, Mighty Macs, Redrock, Desert Crown, Echelon, Olympus, Farhan Prince, Varde One, and Feel My Love.

The final race of the day features nine Class-VII, Division-II participants. Wynx is the favourite, with Gabriela placing and Big Dream as a fluke. Other participants include Winx, Sultan Prince, Gold Finder, New York City, Sweet Baby JoJo, Jupiter, Mehrab Prince (KRC), Parlay For Two, and Black Magic.

As the Lahore Race Club hosts these thrilling events, horse racing enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the performances that will set the stage for the Pakistan Derby in March.
