Naqvi invites England for a Test series in Pakistan

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, held a significant meeting with the Chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Richard Thomson, and ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould in London on Saturday. The meeting, which also included PCB COO Salman Naseer, focused on strengthening cricketing ties and discussing future collaborations between the two cricket boards.

England’s Tour of Pakistan in October:

Invitation Extended: Chairman Naqvi extended a formal invitation to ECB Chairman Richard Thomson to visit Pakistan during England's upcoming Test tour in October. This gesture aims to further solidify the relationship between the two cricket boards and ensure smooth coordination for the tour.

Appreciation for T20 Series: Naqvi expressed his gratitude to the ECB officials for the successful arrangements and conduct of the recently concluded T20 series between Pakistan and England. He praised the ECB's efforts in hosting the series seamlessly.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024:

Good Wishes Exchanged: Both the PCB and ECB heads expressed their best wishes for their respective teams participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. This mutual goodwill underscores the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie between the two cricketing nations.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Preparations:

Stadium Upgradation: Chairman Naqvi briefed the ECB officials on the ongoing preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to be held in Pakistan. He highlighted that PCB has already commenced the upgradation of stadiums to ensure top-notch facilities for all participating teams.

Security Assurance: Naqvi assured the ECB that Pakistan will provide foolproof security and world-class amenities to all visiting teams during the Champions Trophy. He emphasized PCB's commitment to hosting a successful and secure tournament.



Chairman ECB's Support: Richard Thomson conveyed his good wishes to the PCB for the successful organization of the Champions Trophy and expressed confidence in PCB’s arrangements.
