Capital City emerge surprise winner of June Cup at LRC

In an astonishing gallop, Capital City clinched the June Cup on Sunday evening, marking one of several surprises throughout the day. Of the many unexpected outcomes, in a thrilling turn of events at the Lahore Race Club, only Black Master lived up to expectations by winning its race.

The day began with an upset as Imran Choice rallied well after a slow start to win the opening race. Favorite Tatla Choice secured second place, while Master Prince, considered a fluke, finished third.

The highlight of the day, the June Cup, saw Capital City pull off a surprising victory, defying all odds. Pocket Power, another underdog, finished second, and Gennie secured an unexpected third place.

Black Master lived up to its billing as the favorite, winning the third race comfortably. Lalay Di Jan took second place, and Self Belief, a surprise contender, finished third.

Sehar emerged as the surprise winner of the fourth race. Timeline, who was expected to perform well, secured second place, while Yes Commander finished in third.

The final race saw another upset as Winx, originally expected to place, took first place. Flight Line and Al Sabah, both unexpected contenders, finished second and third, respectively.
