Book Fav: Dar Prince | Book Place: Quiz | Book Fluke: Chhota Multani

My Fav: Dar Prince | My Place: Khizar Queen | My Fluke: Chhota Multani

My reasoning: Full agreement on the favourite — Dar Prince 5 (9-0) carries the outright top weight in this nine-horse maiden and the handicapper has retained it there after it ran third on Day 4 from top weight. That 3rd-place finish under 9-0 is exactly the profile the handicapper rewards with continued confidence, and over 1000m the top weight authority is even more pronounced than the 900m card last week. My favourite without reservation. I diverge slightly on the place: while the book selects Quiz (7-10), I prefer Khizar Queen (8-11) — the second highest weight in the field at just 3 pounds below the top. In maiden company, the weight ladder tells the clearest story, and Khizar Queen sits at a natural place position between Dar Prince's authority and the mid-field cluster. Chhota Multani (8-8) is my fluke — it ran a surprise second on Day 4 from 8-6, the handicapper has nudged it up 2 pounds in response, and at 8-8 over the full 1000m it has the profile of a horse building toward a win.

Book Fav: Majesty | Book Place: Royal Stone | Book Fluke: Zindagi

My Fav: Royal Stone | My Place: Zindagi | My Fluke: Majesty

My reasoning: This is the sharpest disagreement of the card between the book and me. Royal Stone (9-0) carries the outright top weight — a full 4 pounds ahead of Zindagi and 10 pounds ahead of the four-way cluster at 7-10 that includes Majesty. The book makes Majesty the favourite despite it sitting at the very bottom of the weight range at 7-10. Majesty ran a surprise third on Day 4 from 7-10 and the book appears to be riding that momentum — but the handicapper has not moved Majesty's weight at all, which signals it was considered a fortunate third rather than a genuine class act. Royal Stone has carried 9-0 for multiple meetings now and is the recognised divisional class act. My favourite is Royal Stone emphatically. Zindagi (8-10), second highest in the field, is the natural place selection. Majesty drops to my fluke — the form is live but bottom weight in a seven-horse field against 9-0 Royal Stone over 1000m is a significant ask.

Book Fav: Bellatrix | Book Place: Be A Man | Book Fluke: Haseeb Thunder

My Fav: Kalabi's Queen | My Place: Emerging Star | My Fluke: Fakhar-e-Sardar

My reasoning: The book and I diverge sharply and importantly here. Kalabi's Queen (9-0) carries the outright top weight — 2 pounds ahead of Emerging Star, 6 pounds ahead of Be A Man, and a full 9 pounds ahead of the book's favourite Bellatrix (8-0). Kalabi's Queen ran a surprise third on Day 4 at 8-12, the handicapper has now elevated it to 9-0 — a clear and decisive signal of confidence. That is the most meaningful weight movement on this entire card and my favourite is Kalabi's Queen without hesitation. Emerging Star (8-12) is my place — it has been competitive throughout the meeting at the upper weight range and is the natural second selection. Now for the most analytically significant pick: Fakhar-e-Sardar (8-6) drops into Division IV & V carrying 8-6. Regular followers of this meeting will recognise this horse — it has been backed repeatedly as a favourite or fluke in Division V & VI at 9-0, winning Race 2 on Day 3 of the Summer Meeting outright. The handicapper has placed it in a lower division at a reduced weight of 8-6. This is a horse of higher class running in easier company — my fluke with conviction. The book's choice of Bellatrix as favourite at 8-0 in a field where Kalabi's Queen carries 9-0 and Fakhar-e-Sardar brings class from a higher division is, in my view, the weakest book call of the day.

Book Fav: Coach House Pari | Book Place: Wake Up | Book Fluke: Sher Dil

My Fav: Sher Dil | My Place: Self Belief | My Fluke: Wake Up

My reasoning: The most striking divergence of the entire card. Sher Dil (9-0) carries the outright top weight — a full 10 pounds ahead of Self Belief, 12 pounds ahead of Wake Up, and 14 pounds clear of the three-way cluster at 7-10 that includes the book's favourite Coach House Pari. The book has made Coach House Pari (7-10) the favourite while designating Sher Dil the fluke — this is a pure form-over-weight call. Sher Dil ran third on Day 3 of the Summer Meeting and third again on Day 4, consistently finishing in the frame at the top of the weights. The handicapper's decision to allocate 9-0 in Division V & VI is a statement of class. My favourite is Sher Dil with full conviction. Self Belief (8-4) is my place — sitting 10 pounds below the top weight but 6 clear of the bottom cluster, it occupies the classic second-position profile. Wake Up (7-12) is my fluke — it ran a surprise second on Day 3 Race 2 from 7-10 and has been nudged up 2 pounds, showing the handicapper noticed. Coach House Pari at 7-10 as the book's favourite — 14 pounds below the top weight over 1000m — is a call I cannot support analytically regardless of recent form.
