My reasoning: Myuna (9-0) carries the outright top weight in this eight-horse Division VI & VII field — 3 pounds ahead of Khizar Queen and 9 pounds clear of the book's favourite Tatla One (8-5). The book making Tatla One favourite at 8-5, conceding 9 pounds to the top weight over 900m, is a form-based call I cannot support analytically. Myuna at 9-0 is the handicapper's recognised class act of this division and my favourite. Khizar Queen (8-11), second highest in the field at just 3 pounds below the top, is the natural place selection — it has run consistently in the upper weight band across Days 4 and 5. Tatla One (8-5) drops to my fluke — the form clearly interests the book but the weight concession is significant. Lady Sareena (8-4) as the book's fluke is plausible but sits 10 pounds below Myuna.

My reasoning: Dogar Choice (9-0) carries the outright top weight — a full 12 pounds ahead of the five-way cluster at 7-12 and 14 pounds ahead of the bottom pair. The book makes it the fluke while installing Chhota Multani (8-2) as favourite, despite Chhota Multani conceding 12 pounds to the top. Regular followers of this meeting will recall that Dogar Choice won Race 2 on Day 4 outright from exactly this kind of top-weight position. The handicapper has retained its 9-0 allocation — a clear signal of continued confidence. My favourite is Dogar Choice with conviction. Chhota Multani (8-2), winner of Race 1 on Day 5, has earned its form claim and is my place. Black Fire (7-12) is my fluke — the book's place selection, sitting in the mid-weight cluster, with enough pace profile over 900m to sneak a frame position.

My reasoning: This is the analytically richest race of the card and I diverge sharply from the book. Be A Man (8-10) carries the outright top weight — 2 pounds ahead of Fakhar-e-Sardar and 12 pounds ahead of the four-way cluster at 7-12 that includes the book's favourite Classic Mystery. The book making Classic Mystery (7-12) the favourite while relegating Be A Man to place is a dramatic form-over-weight call. My favourite is Be A Man without hesitation. Now the most significant selection: Fakhar-e-Sardar (8-6) has been one of the most persistently mistreated horses of this entire meeting. It won Race 2 on Day 3 of the Summer Meeting outright at 9-0, has finished in the frame repeatedly, and continues to be assigned fluke status by the book despite carrying upper weights and possessing proven class. At 8-8 in Division IV & V, just 2 pounds below the top weight, it is my place with full conviction. Classic Mystery at 7-12 drops to my fluke — the book's enthusiasm for it at bottom weight is form-driven but analytically hard to justify against the top two weights. Bilal Love (7-12) has now won two races from this weight band and is worth watching — but the pattern of pace-dependent gate-to-wire wins from 7-10/7-12 is difficult to predict systematically.

 

Race 4 · 8:45 PM — Class VII Division II & III — 900m

My reasoning: Full agreement with the book on the top two. Sarkar Raj (9-0) carries the outright top weight in a five-horse Division II & III field — 8 pounds ahead of Imperius and 16 pounds ahead of Golden Choice. In the tightest and most senior division of the day, the weight authority of 9-0 in a five-runner field is decisive. My favourite is Sarkar Raj without reservation. Imperius (8-6) at second weight is the natural place — well recognised by both the book and weight logic. The divergence is only in the fluke: the book selects Golden Choice (7-12) while I prefer Awan Choice (8-5). Awan Choice ran a surprise second on Day 4 at 8-2 and the handicapper has nudged it up 3 pounds in response — a meaningful signal. Golden Choice at 7-12 concedes 16 pounds to the top weight over 900m, which is a steep ask in a senior division. Awan Choice splitting the difference at 8-5 is the more credible frame candidate.
