LRC - 19th
day predictions & analysis
Sunday,
11th January 2026 - Six Competitive Races
Asher Butt
The 19th
day of the Lahore Winter Meeting features six races with relatively smaller
fields, creating opportunities for tactical racing and form-based selections.
After Day 18's validation of lighter-weighted horses with strong recent form,
let's apply those lessons while respecting the fundamentals.
RACE 1 -
Class VII Division VII (Maiden) - 1100m - 12:30 PM
Complete
Field (9 horses):
- Intesar Choice (8-11), 2. Abdullah
Pasrur (8-10), 3. Hera Choice (8-3), 4. Tiger of Sultan (8-2), 5. Sir
Lugar (8-0), 6. Augustus (8-0), 7. Fateh One (7-12), 8. Majesty (7-10), 9.
Thunder Lady (7-10)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Intesar Choice (8-11) -
Post 1
- PLACE: Abdullah Pasrur (8-10) -
Post 2
- FLUKE: Augustus (8-0) - Post 6
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Augustus, Place Intesar Choice, Fluke Lex Lugar
Analysis: Intesar
Choice at 8-11 from the rail gets my favorite vote in this maiden sprint. He
carried 9-0 on Day 18 (Race 1) and failed, but the 3-pound weight reduction to
8-11 could make the crucial difference. Abdullah Pasrur at 8-10 from post 2
also returns from Day 18's failure carrying 9-0—the handicapper has eased both
top two, suggesting they showed enough quality in defeat to warrant another
chance with lighter burdens.
Augustus
is the fluke pick at 8-0 from post 6—he finished 3rd on Day 18 from post 10,
proving competitive form. Now from a better draw (post 6 vs 10) and carrying
the same 8-0 weight, Augustus could improve. The 11-pound advantage over
Intesar Choice becomes significant in maiden company where class differences
are minimal.
Key
Factor: Both top selections failed last week at heavier weights. The question
is whether the weight relief allows them to fulfill their potential, or if
their failures indicated fundamental limitations.
RACE 2 -
Class VII Division VI & VII - 1100m - 1:05 PM
Complete
Field (11 horses):
- Barrister (9-0), 2. Gallop In Glory
(8-10), 3. Pride of Chandrai (8-6), 4. Gifts of Gold (8-6), 5. Thunder
Cloud (8-4), 6. Khizer Choice (8-2), 7. Mr. Brown (8-2), 8. Thunder Prince
(8-2), 9. I Shall Lead (8-2), 10. Silent Melody (7-12), 11. Lahif (7-12)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Barrister (9-0) - Post 1
- PLACE: Gallop In Glory (8-10) -
Post 2
- FLUKE: Pride of Chandrai (8-6) -
Post 3
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Barrister, Place Gifts Of Gold, Fluke Pride Of Chandrai
Analysis:
Barrister at 9-0 from post 1 is the clear topweight favorite. Despite Day 18's
trend of topweights struggling, the 11-horse field means rail position provides
significant tactical advantage—can control pace and force others to work
around.
Gallop In
Glory at 8-10 from post 2 finished 3rd on Day 18, showing competitive form.
Conceding only 4 pounds to Barrister while positioned perfectly to track makes
him solid place selection.
Pride of
Chandrai is the fluke at 8-6 from post 3—he was YOUR favorite on Day 17 Race 2
at 8-6, and the market confidence in him that day suggests quality. Now from
post 3 in an 11-horse field, sitting behind the top two with tactical
flexibility. If Barrister doesn't handle the 9-0 burden, Pride of Chandrai can
capitalize.
Key
Factor: Large field (11 horses) means traffic will be significant. Posts 1-3
have major advantages avoiding mid-pack congestion.
RACE 3 -
Class VII Division VI - 1100m - 1:40 PM
Complete
Field (6 horses):
- Lucky Macs (9-0), 2. Self Belief
(8-12), 3. Anni Power (8-12), 4. Naveed-e-Sahar (8-10), 5. Mafnood JR
(8-6), 6. Tomorrow Land (8-6)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Lucky Macs (9-0) - Post
1
- PLACE: Naveed-e-Sahar (8-10) - Post
4
- FLUKE: Mafnood JR (8-6) - Post 5
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Mafnood Jr, Place No Man's Land, Fluke Anni Power
Analysis: Lucky
Macs at 9-0 from post 1 returns after finishing 2nd on Day 18 behind Zindagi.
In a small 6-horse field, the rail position is gold—Lucky Macs can dictate
terms entirely. The Day 18 performance showed he's competitive at this level.
Naveed-e-Sahar
at 8-10 from post 4 finished 2nd on Day 18 Race 2 as an "unknown
aspirant" surprise. He's clearly in hot form! Previous victories (Day 16,
Day 17) prove he's a genuine contender. Post 4 in a 6-horse field sits
perfectly mid-pack.
Mafnood JR
is the fluke at 8-6 from post 5—he also finished 2nd on Day 18 Race 2, showing
excellent recent form. Carrying 8-6 (conceding 8 pounds to Lucky Macs) from an
outside position allows patient tactics. If the topweights engage early,
Mafnood JR swoops late.
Key
Factor: Three horses from Day 18 Race 2 reunite (Lucky Macs 2nd, Naveed-e-Sahar
winner, Mafnood JR 2nd in that race). Recent form matters enormously!
RACE 4 -
Class VII Division V & VI - 1100m - 2:15 PM
Complete
Field (6 horses):
- Mr. Asia (9-0), 2. Zindagi (8-12),
3. Royal Stone (8-8), 4. Zarbi (8-6), 5. Construct Craft (7-12), 6. Zaman
Sahib (7-10)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Zindagi (8-12) - Post 2
- PLACE: Royal Stone (8-8) - Post 3
- FLUKE: Mr. Asia (9-0) - Post 1
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Zaman Sahib, Place Royal Stone, Fluke Mr Asia
Analysis:
Zindagi at 8-12 from post 2 won Race 2 on Day 18 at 9-0—he's proven quality
carrying heavy weight. The 2-pound reduction to 8-12 makes him even more
dangerous. Post 2 in a 6-horse field allows tracking the rail horse (Mr. Asia)
or taking the lead if preferred.
Royal
Stone at 8-8 from post 3 won Race 1 on Day 17, proving he's competitive at this
level. The 8-8 weight places him in the sweet spot (neither too heavy nor too
light), and post 3 positioning is ideal in small fields.
Mr. Asia
is my fluke at 9-0 from post 1—calling the topweight with rail draw a fluke
seems contrarian, but here's the logic: Mr. Asia carries 9-0 (heaviest in
field) against horses with proven recent form (Zindagi won Day 18, Royal Stone
won Day 17). If Mr. Asia lacks the class to justify that weight, Zindagi and
Royal Stone overpower him. If he DOES justify it and wins, most would expect
it—but given recent patterns, it would surprise many, making it a
"fluke" by market perception.
Key
Factor: Zindagi's proven ability to win at 9-0 means 8-12 should be manageable.
This is the day's strongest favorite.
RACE 5 -
Class VII Division III & IV - 1100m - 2:50 PM
Complete
Field (7 horses):
- Be A Man (9-0), 2. Vartika (8-12),
3. Secret Lover (8-8), 4. Little Master (8-4), 5. HaseebBarbarian's (8-2),
6. Thunder Boy (7-12), 7. Debate Princess (7-8)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Be A Man (9-0) - Post 1
- PLACE: Vartika (8-12) - Post 2
- FLUKE: HaseebBarbarian's (8-2) -
Post 5
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Be A Man, Place Haseen Barbarian's, Fluke Secret Lover
Analysis: Be
A Man at 9-0 from post 1 finished 2nd on Day 18 Race 4 as a surprise, showing
he's competitive at this weight. The rail draw in a 7-horse sprint provides
control. He's the logical favorite.
Vartika at
8-12 from post 2 shares the runner-up weight consideration. Conceding just 2
pounds to Be A Man while positioned to track closely makes her solid place
selection. In 7-horse fields, posts 1-2 often dominate.
HaseebBarbarian's
is the fluke at 8-2 from post 5—he finished 3rd on Day 18 Race 3 as predicted
fluke, proving he's competitive despite lighter weight. The "Haseeb"
stable has been in brilliant form this meeting. At 8-2 (conceding 12 pounds to Be
A Man), he needs everything perfect but has the stable form and tactical
position to deliver.
Key
Factor: The Haseeb stable's hot streak (Haseeb Barbarian won Day 17, Haseeb
Thunder won Day 17) means HaseebBarbarian's deserves respect despite being
outweighed.
RACE 6 -
Class VII Division II (Maiden) - 1200m - 3:25 PM
Complete
Field (12 horses):
- Crown Pharoah (8-8), 2. Ameera
(8-8), 3. Mayya (8-8), 4. Tez Tareen (8-6), 5. Prince of Gujrat (8-6), 6.
Mister Sardar (8-6), 7. Awan Choice (8-5), 8. Chasing Eden (8-5), 9. Asif
Princess (8-3), 10. Royal Gift (8-2), 11. Queen of Pharoah (8-1), 12.
Peelo Wains (8-1)
MY
PREDICTIONS:
- FAVOURITE: Crown Pharoah (8-8) -
Post 1
- PLACE: Ameera (8-8) - Post 2
- FLUKE: Prince of Gujrat (8-6) -
Post 5
BOOK
Predictions
Favourite
Ameera, Place Queen Of Pharoah, Fluke Mayya
Analysis:
Crown Pharoah at 8-8 from post 1 shares top weight with Ameera and Mayya, but
gets the crucial rail advantage in a 12-horse maiden over 1200m (extended
distance). Maidens over distance favor horses that can establish position early
and control pace.
Ameera at
8-8 from post 2 finished 3rd on Day 18 Race 8 as a place contender, showing
competitive form. Equal weight with Crown Pharoah but from post 2, positioned
to track and challenge. Three horses at 8-8 suggests they're the quality
maidens.
Prince of
Gujrat is the fluke at 8-6 from post 5—conceding only 2 pounds to the
topweights while positioned mid-pack in a large field. Maiden races over 1200m
often see tactical rides succeed, and post 5 allows avoiding both rail
congestion and extreme wide trips.
Key
Factor: 12-horse maiden over 1200m is pure lottery. The three 8-8 horses (posts
1-3) should dominate, but maidens produce surprises regularly.
RACE-BY-RACE
CONFIDENCE LEVELS
HIGHEST
CONFIDENCE:

FINAL
SUMMARY
Today's
card features smaller fields (6-12 horses) that should produce more predictable
results than Day 18's larger fields. Key themes:
- Recent Form Matters: Multiple
horses return from Day 18 with proven performances (Zindagi won, Lucky
Macs 2nd, Naveed-e-Sahar won, Royal Stone won Day 17)
- Rail Advantage Amplified: Smaller
fields mean rail positions (post 1) have even greater advantages—less
traffic, shortest distance, pace control
- Weight Sweet Spot: The 8-8 to 8-12
range continues producing winners, but proven horses carrying 9-0 (Zindagi
dropped to 8-12, Be A Man at 9-0 with form) deserve respect
- Haseeb Stable: Continues hot
streak—any Haseeb-prefixed horse deserves attention despite weight
disadvantages
- Maiden Lottery: Race 6's 12-horse
maiden over 1200m is the day's most unpredictable contest—proceed with
caution
