Drago, Farhan Prince wins shock in Monsoon, August Cups

The 10th day of the summer meeting at
Lahore Race Club saw unexpected twists as underdogs Drago and Farhan Prince
claimed surprise victories in the Monsoon Cup and August Cup, respectively,
leaving favorites trailing in their wake.
In the Monsoon Cup, Drago defied the odds to
clinch victory, delivering a shock to punters who had favored Apache to lead
the race. Apache settled for second place, while Pocket Wood also surprised
with a third-place finish.
The August Cup followed suit with another major
upset as Farhan Prince, not among the frontrunners, galloped to victory.
National Color, a top contender, managed second place, with Fujairah taking
third in a surprising turn of events.
The day's races kicked off with the favorite
Gennie living up to expectations in the opening Swat Plate, securing first
place. Tatla Choice finished as predicted in second position, while Abdullah
Champion surprised by taking third place.
The final race of the day also saw a surprising
outcome, as Puerto Rico, expected to place, won the race. Generosity, initially
seen as a long shot, secured second place, while the favorite Luckvir had to
settle for third, flipping the predicted order.
These unexpected results have added an extra
layer of excitement to the summer meeting, leaving racing enthusiasts eager for
the next round of competition.
