The 28th Day Winter Meeting 2024-25 of the Lahore Race Club is set to take place on Sunday, featuring the prestigious Mian Abdul Waheed Memorial Cup as the main race of the day.

In addition to the cup event, there will be five thrilling Mona Stud plate races that are sure to keep the followers of the sport engaged.

The opening Mona Stud Plate, a Class-VII and Division-VI&VII race, has 13 runners, with Rutba as the favorite, followed by Mafnood JR for place, and Tango To Fire as a fluke. The field includes Anni Power, Thunder Prince (KRC), Dubai Love, Sky Warrior, Drago, Merchant of Venus, Advocate, Elon Musk, Deep Impact, and Abdullah Champion.

The second race, a Class-VII and Division-V&VI contest, sees War Command as the favorite, Monsoon Mischief as the place contender, and Zaman Sahib as the fluke. Competitors also include Yes Commander, Thunder Man (KRC), Emerging Star, Pocket Power, Dur-e-Adan, and Latin Storm.

In the third race, a Class-VII and Division-III&IV event, Zuza is the favorite, Generosity is the place contender, and Dubawi's Angel is the fluke. The remaining field features Black Master, Gondal One, Qalandar, Big Dream, Thunder Boy (KRC), Parlay For Two, Luckvir, Timeline, Apple of My Eye, ThunderCloud (KRC), Zaid Prince, and Jupiter.

The fourth race, a Division-I affair, has Great One as the favorite, Sultan Prince is in as a place contender, and Brigadier is on the fluke. The race will also include Wynx, Gabriela, Mehrab Prince (KRC), and Zindabaad.

The Mian Abdul Waheed Memorial Cup, a Class-VI race, expects Murad to win as the favorite, Dominus to follow as the place contender, and Brooklyn as the fluke. The remaining field consists of Prince William (KRC) and Phantom.

Finally, the sixth race, a Class-VII and Division-I&II event, sees Feel My Love as the favorite, Yesteryear as the place contender, and Western Lady as the fluke. The competitors include Me Raqsam, Samore City, and Vitoria.

The event promises to deliver an exciting day of horse racing, with seasoned favorites and potential surprises in each race, attracting racing enthusiasts to witness some thrilling competition at the Lahore Race Club.
