In a dramatic turn of events, Verde One, a longshot, delivered the biggest upset of the day by clinching victory in the prestigious Amigo Cup at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday. With a late surge along the rail, Verde One overcame all competition, leaving racegoers stunned and securing a well-earned triumph in the day’s main event.

In the first race, Mafnood JR delivered the first upset of the day, securing a comfortable win. Sikander Sapphire, the favourite, had to settle for second, while Silent Melody claimed third place on a fluke.

Western Lady Dominates Final Race
In the final race, Western Lady led from start to finish, leaving her challengers in the dust. Fujairah secured third place, rounding off a day of remarkable upsets.
Jockey Awais Anjum’s Triple Triumph
It was also a day to remember for jockey Awais Anjum, who was in scintillating form, securing victories in three races while riding Mafnood JR, Pocket Power, and Deedawar.
